keyless entry problems

Hello everyone, the keyless wont work on my expedition, i changed the the battery's and tried to reprogram, someone told me there is a fuse under the hood for the keyless entry, i just dont know where is at.?

need more info... also if you follow the steps to reprogram the FOBs do the locks on the door activate and have you tried to reprogram the fobs according to the owners manual?

yea the locks activate, but it wont program to the remote i have tried 3 different remotes, but nothing, i went to advance auto parts, the have a remote tester and they all work..

no, yea the code for it is there, but my problem is the remotes, they dont work on my expy, my car wont accept not even the oem one

Have you figured this out because I have the EXACT same problem with my expy, it is also 2004 only it'sa5.4L .

My code was located on the passenger side.the module is right there when u look up.it has the 5 digit code clearly on it u cant miss it.i have 2004 expedition xlt

Keyless entry problem

Did you find a fix for this I have the same problem on my 1999 4x4. key pad, door buttons all work but not able to use fobs I have replaced batt. bought a new one it will not work when you press the fob buttons. It is as if the receiver has died on the vehicle.

The doors do not lock/unlock using the remote transmitter

Possible Sources
CJB Fuse 8.
CJB Fuse 4.
Keyless entry remote transmitter battery.
Keyless entry remote transmitter.
Driver unlock relay.
Circuitry.
Remote anti-theft personality (RAP) module

This is an old thread that hasn't had any activity until today. It would have been better if you had started a new thread and also this thread was in the second gen forum and your 99 is First Gen
