What's the largest size tires I can use on my '97 4x4 EB without having to lift it? Something that will not rub or cause major issues.

Thanks!

I have a 2001 Expedition E.B. with 315/70/17 Mickey Thompson Baja tires. I had to trim the bottom inside corner of the front bumper, but other than that they fit perfect.

do you have to do anything else when you upsize tires? does the added strain to the tranny negligible?

Jeez and you don't get rubbing on the inside frame at full-lock? My 285's just barely clear.

I got rub on my 315's with 5 inches of lift!!!! Cranked it up a little higher to almost 6 in the front, and no more rub...

Looks like there is a little rub on the frame at full lock. I never paid any attention to it cuz I normally don't turn the wheel full lock.

if your gonna put bigger tires, you might wanna save up for a new rear end as well. Had to replace mine with 35inch tires. twice.

97 EB 4x4: I searched other sites as well, & put 33x12.5x17 procomp at on some bigger procomp wheels, fit without a hitch, driver front tire rubbed at full turn but only in reverse, after years, i trimmed about half inch from lower valence...no rub now...but just to let you know, this was with 4 wheel stock option air bags...once that system broke, i replaced with monroe kit with coil overs up front and springs in back...as the front sat too high I put two " alum spacers on bottom of rear springs...love it

Any of you using wheel spacers? Did this help or not with bugger wheel options on stock suspension?
