Anyone have an easy way to convert the factory led fog lights to daytime running lights (on whenever the car is running). Thanks much.

Easy peasy with Forscan on my 2017. I suppose the dealer can do it too. Read thru the Forscan threads, a simple bit of code to change that's well documented. You'll need your laptop and a OBD2 interface (about $25).

The fog lights will act as DRLs in daylight using the same sensor that turns the headlights on at night. They revert to fogs when it gets dark and then function in accordance with your headlight setting. I leave mine on AUTO.

Big green fog light indicator on the dash can be turned off with Forscan too as it's rather annoying to me.

Chuck, when you enable them as DRL’s in FORScan and they are functioning during daylight does the green indicator illuminate?

Nick, the green indicator does illuminate unless you turn that off in ForScan too. I did indeed turn off the fog indicator in ForScan because it just is redundant and not necessary in my opinion. The less idiot lights lit on my dash, the cleaner it is. I activated my LED fogs via ForScan and absolutely love the look. Matches the look of all the newest cars and trucks out there that came that way from the factory.

Thanks Chuck.

I'm going to do some programming with the rig today and enable this.

2003 is "2d generation?" As I recall my 2007 (first year 3dGen) had some sort of mechanical relay controlling the fog lights. I was never able to activate DRLs on that truck. Not that I was willing to tear out the dashboard. Canuck trucks had them so it's "possible" but not thru the truck's computer which regulates a zillion things these days.

I ordered the cable and downloaded forscan. Any idea where to go and what codes to change? I don’t want to screw anything up just to get DRL’s

Great. Got it done easily. Also reset the camera since the lines and Red yellow green cautions were missing since I had a new camera installed. I’m now going to activate navigation. Any advice or info on that?
