I replaced the Stop & turn signal and Parking light bulbs in my '09 Expy EL.
with LEDs. I noticed that when I swapped out the stop/tail bulbs first, the flashing was normal. But when I swapped out the fronts a few days later, it started the hyper flashing. There is no flasher on the '09s, its all controlled by the smart module behind the RH kick panel. So here's my question: Is the smart module reading the load of all 4 bulbs, or is it just reading the load of the front parking/turn signal lights? If I add resistors, will I have to add them to all 4 bulbs, or will just adding them to the fronts work?

I'm sure someone on here knows and can help.

I believe, based on my experience when I had an 06 Lincoln LS which also has the flasher controlled by the lighting module. I believe it reads the load but also compares it to the load from the other bulbs. I ended up splicing resistors inline to avoid hyperflash/bulb out message issues.

On my 05 Navi I have Anzo LED tails and VLED Triton bulbs both of which have resisters built. I did not have hyperflash with just the tail lights but had to swap the relay after adding the front LEDs.
