I replaced my interior lights with LED lights. They work well and provide much better lighting for this blind bat.
However, they don't turn on or off when I open/shut the door or unlock/lock with the key fob. They did before the changeout. They still work when using the pushbutton at the lights or the interior dome light thumb screw by the steering column.
Any suggestions on what I can do to fix or what I did to cause this mess?

Hmm. I replaced all of my interior lights with LEDs (what a world of different for my black cloth interior) My do turn off when I lock up the truck. Some have a faint dem glow when off that would drain the battery, except that the truck knows to shut off interior lights after about 20 minutes. So I haven't had a dead battery yet and I've had them for almost a year.

Not sure why yours is behaving that way with the door. I have a 2015 XLT, so I don't have that thumbscrew you mention. So mine may be different.

Grasping for straws: Try reversing them in the sockets. I put a LED in my kitchen range hood and it would not turn off completely until I did that. Then my wife told me she liked the extremely low night light effect in the kitchen so I reversed it again.

LEDs are polarity sensitive but the later ones seem to not be so sensitive.

Thanks for the feedback, Cyclone and Chuck! I'll try reversing them one at a time and see if anything changes. Sorry for the delayed response, Labor Day weekend was packed. I did finally get them to turn off when I shut the door, but they don't turn on when you click the individual buttons after the door shuts. Fix one problem and another pops up, like chasing chipmunks...
