Lift gate

2015 with power liftgate.
Whether power or manual liftgate does not open all the way. You can push it up another 6 inches.
Any ideas?

How old are the lift struts? They're a cheap and easy replacement.

Replace the lift struts - the power ram only raises the lift gate so far, then the gas-charged struts push it the rest of the way.

I replaced mine when they got weak. They are easy to replace, but having a helper to hold the lift gate while you change the struts is very helpful.

The Ford part numbers are:

Right: 7L1Z78406A10B

Left: 7L1Z78406A11B

Yep, just weak struts. 10 minute fix and cheap.
