Liftgate chrome piece replacement

Does anyone know the part number for the chrome piece above the license plate in the liftgate?

The most common is 07-14. There are multiple part numbers, with AL1Z-78404C42-A and AL1Z-78404C42-B being the most common WITH a camera, 9L1Z-78404C42-B and 9L1Z-78404C42-C WITHOUT.

07's didn't come with a rear camera, and it was optional in 08. I believe with and without camera is what drives so many part numbers, and you'll notice some listings mention 09-14 for the reason. Camera itself is part number 9L1T-19G490-AB.

15-17 is a little more complicated, with standard length & EL have unique part numbers due to EL logo being incorporated.
FL1Z-5443400-A is an example 15-17 part number.


Is your chrome piece broken? Missing? If missing entirely, you'll probably have to also order the glass release button and license plate lights as well.

For what its worth, the 03-06 Expedition uses the same upper part as 07-14, just body colored as opposed to chrome. For those years the aftermarket has a chrome upper cover available. Heck, you can even get a matching chrome lower handle cover. Ebay/Amazon is probably your best bet. The upper cover, for example, is ebay item #130787065128

These two chrome bezels look nothing the same between 06 and 16. Not sure what you’re trying to tel him here @Flexpedition

FYI, the EL on my ‘17 liftgate chrome piece were just stuck on with adhesive. I took them off the same way I debadged the rest of the liftgate.

UPDATE:

Ended up detaching the broken chrome piece on my 2007 and used 3M adhesive tape to attach it back to the lift gate. Worked and looks great.
