The expeditions don’t have HUD???

Well, strike that from the list lol. HUD’s are available on $20k nissans these days.
Nope. Ford may list a HUD but it’s only for the collision avoidance system... a bright red seizure inducing flashing light. The Navigator has a full functioning HUD.

That’s a really weird choose. I can’t imagine not having HUD in this day and age.

Some how I have made it 39 years without a HUD. Hell, I haven't even had working gauges most of that time. I'm just thrilled to know how much gas I have and how fast I am going.

Yeah it kind of sucks but it’s something I can live without.

Have you ever lived with it though?

I had the same attitude years ago and then bought my first vehicle with it. As silly as it sounds I can’t imagine having to look down to see how fast I’m going or what song is playing, what the speed limit is etc.

This has been my experience as well. Possibly my favorite feature.

I have had both. First HUD was an Olds Trofeo.
I don't look at speedo or radio that often so I don't need a HUD.
They kind of bother me like a shiny dash does reflecting on windshield or what a truck back window does on short cab truck.
Freaks my eyes out more than I like it.

HUDs have improved dramatically since the Olds Trofeo.....

It was the first, not the only. I just don't like to use them. I think they are neat but I find them more annoying than helpful since I don't look at the info they provide much anyway.
But I am also the guy that hates so much of the included price raising "features" on newer vehicles.
They are cars or trucks to me and not rest areas. Not living rooms, man caves, entertainment centers, self driving/parking, surroundings aware, adaptive, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc , etc, etc......this is how much they annoy me.
Sure most love it ans eat it up.
I just want a nice new shiny rust free perfect running car that has a track record of going 225k+ with no engine repairs whatsoever, with a key and keyfob AND door keypad, ac, cruise, a radio, delay wipers, power windows and locks.
That's all I want...so about a brand new 1992 would do me. But I prefer the newer end and like most to at least 2002- maybe 2008 and newer on some. But most of the newer ones, I simply don't want.
I don't even need power seats but power windows and locks are a must.

The Escalade is much better looking than the Navigator. The Nav, always has had the 'family truckster', ugly rear end. The Cadillac interior is simple, yet elegant. Ford should take some notes.

I think the front end of the Navi is much better looking. Same goes for the interior.

But ugh. That rear end. Absolutely horrible.

A different class? Doesn't compare? really? I see Escalades all over and almost never see a Navigator. Take a look around?

That is a product of availability. To get the car you want, you have to order it and wait 3 to 5 mnths for it, or search dealer to dealer sometimes over a wide range to get it. Where i live, theres less than 10 avilable in a 50 mile range. Same goes for the expy. If ford built enough to meet demand, you would see them all the time, but they didnt(business decision) to prevent oversaturation and keep demand high. Noone is not buying the nav becuz they dnt want it, they just cant find one they want(or find one in general) and have ro order or move on to something else that is available. Looks are subjective pt, Having driven the nav and escalade, the nav is by far a better car, and most ppl and critics can agree. The biggest con of the nav is it doesnt offer a v8.

I am starting to see them more and more in my area. For about a year I was the only one but now I see about 7 or 8 weekly. I live in a smaller town in North Georgia if that means anything.

It is a different class. The Escalade is a 6 year old design. A lot has changed in 6 years. If Lincoln didnt seriously leapfrog a 6 year old design they’d be screwed.

its going to take a while for people to start taking notice, coming off their old leases etc.

Of course the new Escalade details will be released within a matter of weeks so who knows that that will look like.

Ok, let’s slow this down enough for you to understand....... the current Escalade has been around for 5-6 years...... the Lincoln has been out for about 18 months with a rocky start due to production shortages. Also it is widely known that Cadillac has been offering huge incentives to help keep up a falling market share.

I special ordered my Navigator in mid January 2019. It arrived in 6 weeks, faster than I expected.
