I just purchased a 2001 Expen EB that has the combo type door lock on the drivers side thios is my 2nd Expen my first was a 1999 EB many years ago.

I was told when I had my 99 the door lock code was on the rear Air.

I took the 2001 apart did not see anything telling me what the code is.

Where else do I look to find out the door lock code besides going to the dealer to pull the code.

Is that code in the same place for the 99 XLT? I'll check in the AM. I know of another site for Excursions that had a "matrix code" that you would pull up a chair besides your door and start typing in the code in order then after about 3 - 4 minutes the door would unlock. All you would do is go back 5 digits and that's your code. All you do is type in numbers until you get it. Sucks, but it worked for my Excursion. Took me 4 minutes because the code was not printed where the other forum told me where it should be. - Hunter

I had a 2000 Ford Excursion but did not have the code. I went to www.ford-trucks.com only to find many people had the same problem. Some guy figured out a "matrix code pattern" if typed in correctly you'll find the code. It took me a little bit to get the code but it worked!!! You just have to pull up a chair and and start typing. Here is the link to the "Code Matrix" It worked for my Excursion so I'm going to try it today on my 99 Expy. Heres the link: http://everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=1520430
