ok so my 1997 expy 5.4 is running very bad a few weeks ago the CEL came on for code 171 bank 1 lean i checked for vacume leaks and cleaned the maf, no difference it runs fine except the mileage dropped from about 15 to 13mpg then two days ago it started missing really bad merging onto the freeway and the CEL started flashing so i stopped at O'rielly's and pulled the codes i got the lean bank 1 that i already had and a cylendar 4 missfire. im pretty sure its the cylendar 4 coil pack they look to be the original ones or just very old since its a 97 with 197k miles. the only strange thing is that the missfire intermitently goes away for a few second while driving then comes right back and the CEL isnt always flashing but it is on solid. thanks guys
