YEP. Ford does make black grills, i have one on my 06 limited.

ebay is a possibility [depending on seller rep], your local stealership, or online search for ford wholesale parts.

i think they are proud of them, because they are not cheap.

Actually, I think you may be a little dissappointed and unable to find much... and I know this because my last Expy was an '05 Eddie Bauer that I had painted all white (hated the 2-tone look), the body shop just ended up painting the grill all white, I'll see if I can find a pic. The problem is, it'll start chipping after a few rocks hit you, and you need to keep the touch-up stick handy or else it'll look pretty bad, pretty quickly.

Sand and paint it with black trim paint from Autozone/Advance. Mine's been hold it up well for a few months now. It gives it a nice matte black color.

Paparazzi, you can use the fusion paint by Krylon. I used it on my (originally grey) mud guards. It resists cracking, chipping, and peeling. I've painted my guards about 3 yrs ago and the only time it came off was when I went over a curb and gouged the the mud guard on the way down.

Yeah just paint it with Krylon. I didn't even take mine out to paint it.. I just put some cardboard behind it and used some tape and plastic to cover closeby areas. Cost less then $10 and looks much better.
