Like the title says, I'm looking for a switched power source that's not hot during remote start; in other words, a 12V wire that's hot in start/run but not when the vehicle is in remote start status

... does such a thing exist ?

This is your best option short of tearing into the electrical system.

**** SOLVED ****

BCM - C2280A Pin 7 is not hot during remote start. Works perfectly for the add-on aftermarket mirror autofold module I installed. That way the mirrors stay folded until one presses the unlock button.
