loose front end

'04 EB 4x4 with 154k miles.

Steering has gotten fairly sloppy recently, so I need to start planning repairs. I need to tackle this one component at a time for financial reasons.

Where should I begin? Any help would be appreciated.

take a look at your ball joints and bushings, sounds like they are worn out

i agree. start with balljoints and control arms. may just need some new bushings for the control arms.
