Okay I noticed this today when I was leaving work and for some reason I could hear the engine when I was accelerating over my stereo (LOUD) and with all the windows up. It seems to be getting worse the more I drive it but anyway it quite literally sounds like a 747 is taking off when I accelerate and when I let off the gas on lets say a 40mph street that i drive on every day I look down and im only going 30? I havent changed the way I drive and I feel a pretty good loss in power. It seems like I have a v6 under there but its making that howling noise. Its so loud infact that I cannot hear my exhaust when driving with the windows down or up. (or even revving it in the drive way) and I have a STRAIGHT PIPE instead of a muffler!
Thinking It has something to do with the fan, like its spinning way too fast or something, or maybe the intake manifold.
Can somebody please help me out?

thats one weird issue, mybe ur fan is spinning too fast try looking at the engine while its running and see if you can rev it from by the throttle body and see what you hear and see

check the clutch fan first with the engine off you should be able to turn it with a little resistance. also you might check your cats for being plugged.

I cant turn the fan.... maybe 1/2" in either direction. Also disregard the loss in power because I just drove it around a little and I couldnt tell a difference just the noise.
Im pretty sure its the fan clutch. I got under the hood and revved it at the throttle body and It sounds like the fan.
Also could possibly be the belt tensioner or something to do with the belt because right when it turns over there is a really quick squeal, not even for 1 second but that may be the fan clutch Idk.
E fans may be in my future
