I just wanted to put this here for anyone else in the future looking. The threads that are out there aren’t very clear. I spent days digging through all the old posts and comments. 275/65R20 do fit on my gen 3 2015 EL Limited without any modifications. It is stock heigh and stock wheels. It definitely seems to ride a little better than the 275/55R20 that I had on it. You can feel that they are bigger but it just feels smoother. I plan to eventually do a leveling kit of some kind to add a little more clearance but I put them though all the tests I could and it didn’t rub at all. These are 34.1” tires.

Well, if you look closely in grant's photos, you can see that the clearances are somewhat tight, so without a lift and/or spacers, the rubbing at full turn/load would probably be a real concern if you choose tires that are larger than his....

I know my friend wanted to put 285/75/20's on his '17 Max and although it looked cool, he would have had to add spacers to avoid the rubbing, and then he would have had to also add some large aftermarket fender flares to keep the tires from sticking out too far beyond the body (as required by law in his state) and to reduce the amount of dirt/rocks ect from being kicked up & hitting/damaging the running boards & door panels....

So he went with the 275/65's also & is happy with them as is :D

I just put a set of 275/60R20's LTX MS/2's on my 17 and they fit no issues. I'm going to install a 1.5 inch lift all around as well, but that'll be several weeks out at this point. 1000006673.jpg1000006674.jpg
