Moonroof cover open and close question

Is there a way to open/close the moonroof cover all the way without it stopping in the middle and having to press the button a second time? I tried a double tap, a hold, etc. But no matter what, it stops at the midway point until I push the button again.

I’d like to vent the pano roof with the cover back about couple of inches to minimize heat buildup while parked. I guess that’s not possible either?

I’m surprised the windows allow you to partially open/close. Cant do it on the sunroof nor with the 3rd row seats.
