Morning start up

Ok last 2 weeks I'm having morning start up issues usally it a long crank before it fires up... This only happens in the morning at first start up... after that through out the day it starts right up.... other that that High temp issue i'm still having
(which is another posting)... Any ideas on the start up?

turn the key and let the pump cycle meaning count to 5-10 slowly...then crank...if it starts right up...fuel pump assy or sending unit...its about a 3hrs job so I just went ahead and changed the assy vs sending unit cuz I didn't want to drop the tank again
