3 weeks ago i started having problems with my oil pressure gauge acting up. it would go up and down at different times when driving. i was told that because there was no taping,smoke,or engine light it was probably the sending unit. i was going the fix it tomorrow but while driving home today it started taping pretty bad. a few hours ago i had a friend/mechanic come over started to look at it. it started right up no noise. about 5+min of letting the in run i started to tap a little but nothing like it did earlier in the day. my friend said he is 95% sure its the oil pump. what do you think? ist a 2000 expedition with 106,000 miles.
