I posted a couple pictures showing some of you guys my set up, adter a lift /tire discussion the day before yesterday. I also tried posting this yesterday morning, and it kept telling me I wasn't logged in. I figured I would try again today.

It's an 01 EB, leather, air.. the works....Anyways, I'll start out by saying - In no way do I think I have a really nice rig, it's just something I work on when I'm not working on countless other things around the house, or at work. But a few of the mods that I have done since I got it bone stock this last fall are.

Wheels, tires, intake, TB spacer, tuner/programmer, gears 4.88's , lift, 9 inches over all. bumper, fogs in the grille, and my favorite - the raptor LED grill marking lights ; Also required on any rig wider than 80" while operating on the road.

The tires are 38" nitto mud grapplers, and the wheels are 20" rockstars with centercaps ... a lot of people remove them.

Don't mind the cheapo mudflaps, I changed them out yesterday for some OEM flaps from a 2002.

He'res a shot showing the raptor light mod

So, this bumper took me a few days of headbanging, and hair pulling.. but after about a week of all that, it was ready for powder coat.. I'm pretty happy with the job, since it's the first thing I've ever welded and had to make look pretty. I'm currently working on a rear bumper with the same style. here's the front.

IMAG0200.jpg Now , My rig is an 01' Meaning it had the newer style grille, well. when I got this truck, it had been wrecked and someone had zipties the grill and bumper back together. -Knowing I wanted to build a tube bumper, I got rid of the newer style grille for the flat bottom one that's on there now, it allowed me to butt up the bumper right to the bottom of the grill for a more seemless look.

Another shot of the LEDs, hooked up with the running lights.

and last but not least.. an overall shot. you can see the clearence pretty good here. ..

If any one has any questions about anything, let me know.. if you don't like it.. let me know.. feedback is always nice !

Ive pretty much had to do all the work on it myself with little to no help, and since there isnt anyone near me for miles that has another lifted expy, I figured I should try and make some new friends!

Look forward to talking with you all!

-Regards.

Other than I can't stand Black RockStars, (well, Snoop Dogg and a few others are alright....) I like it a lot bit. Saw some silver Rockstars the other day, sans Center cap, and I was mildly moved to change my opinion... something about the Black and the center cap.. just doesn't get my jhuices flowing..

I dig the tube work, and overall its a pretty tight Expy!

Thanks all!

You know, I wasnt a fan of the rockstars either. But I had some milanni 454's on there before.. and I barely had any fender poke.. I actually had to run wheel spacers, because the offset was so horrible. I put the rock stars on.. and i stick out almost 3 inches.. I might not like the design.. but I love the geometry. plus,, at only 60$ a wheel .. well, you get where I'm going.. I may end up blacking them out .

the lights look great. I actually used three trailor ?arking long life LEDs . Mounted them on a chunk of glad aluminum and painted the metal black. I used a couple coats of nite shades to hide them a little more when they are turned off. the wiring was ran behind everything and hung to the top with a couple self tapping screws...again painted black for a hidden look. wire them into your corner lights and they look great with out the headlamps on . There are a couple companies that offer some similar products for 60 bucks.. But I made all this while only spending 12 dollars on the lights themselves . I cut notches out of my grill due to the dome shape of the lights I chose . I can get some close up pictures if you want to see. Other wise.. If you have any more questions I'll answer to the best of my ability. just remember ..if you're over 80 inches wide.. You're supposed to have these . That's why the raptor does ! they look clean though.. I just copied them the best I could .. I could also make and ship them for ten bucks ,plus shipping .

Nope, I don't have any other pictures, but I'll definitely snap some tomorrow and post them in this tread.

I do know , that the lowest part of the bumper, which is 3 inches higher than the factory bumper.. sits at exactly 34" off of the ground on a level surface. I'll try to do that first thing in the morning.

Also, I live in olympia.. far from spokane!

The rockstars have a good offset. And give you a little mote poke. Which is always nice to see. I have two inch spacers.. And after I put the rockstara on. I took the spacers off. Because they stuck out far enough ... Only needed them before because of frame rub. I think tomorrow I'll get out there and remove the anti sway bar. That should smoothen up the rode .and let the suspension flex a lot more ...let you guys know how it goes

Okay, as promised.. Here's the truck.. from a level angle, not low, or high.. so you can see the height and everything.. also took off the anti-sway bar this morning.. drives a lot more smoothly.. feels like a new front end. I dig it!
