If you did the install yourself, how did you deal with the two bolts that attach the strut to the LCA? Some f150 videos I've seen say to loosen the LCA bolts and punch out the two bolts in the strut and just reuse them
Basically as described. Honestly, I am going to pay a buddy with a Jeep shop, that is a few blocks from my house to do the 17. Just don't have the time or patience to do it again.

Any updates on this? Would love to hear how it turns out as I am looking to do the same. Thanks!
Ok everyone. Finally got the kit installed which I did by myself. First I'll go through and explain some stuff I had to do in the install then I'll get some pics uploaded.

So I got 3 different sets of instructions, two for expedition and one for f150. F150 is for the FRONT spacers. Expeditions are for the rear depending gnon what type of suspension setup is back there (a- frame or 4 point). For 2016s, the instructions are incomplete. I was able to get by with removing the two LCA bolts by hammering them out and the strut and spacer slid back in with a little force. Did not loosen the LCA at all. Front installation went smoothly.

The back calls for disconnecting the LCA completely from the frame and getting that back in is a two man job with two jacks rasinging and lowering until the holes line back up. Rear spacers are offset so the spring just got installed turned 180 degrees.

Overall the job took 4hrs and I would highly highly recommend using an impact wrench bc you will struggle getting the bigger bolts out and back in without one, especially the front LCA bolts that basically have to be pulled back into their splines. Any questions please feel free to post and I will try to answer as best I can

So they are obviously OEM Rims, but what are you running for tires are they the originals and/or are you going to upgrade? I plan to do the exact lift on my 16 XLT, but can't settle on a tire choice, I plan on keeping the OEM 18" rims. And want to try and get 35s,

OEM 275/55/20 right now. Will be keeping OEM wheels and shooting for 35x11.50s

Now that you have the lift installed have you adjusted your headlights? I'm just curious as you raised the front by an 1/2".
Front was raised by 2.5" and I haven't really thought about adjusting them. Will see how they look tonight though and update

You did the 2-1/2" front and 2" back so the overall effect was raising the front 1/2" over the stock setting so in effect the front is higher in relationship to the stock front to back relationship, if that makes sense. You are of course right the center line is now 2-1/2" higher. I'll curious to see what you think after you've had a chance to drive it.

You're right I was just thinking about that after I replied. So driving tonight I didn't notice any difference with the headlights (no angry oncoming motorists flashing their high beams at my low beams)

Ride quality IMO is improved. You definitely feel higher and the step into the truck is noticeably higher even with the power running boards. Stock handling was not bad, but this kit just makes it feel a little more "floaty" which is just fine by me.

A few other things, definitely will need to move the rear brake lines down about 1.5" put the spacer on and let the rear go full extension and the OEM placement of the rear brakes had the lines screamin'! 5/16" drill bit made a hole that held the OEM screw in just fine.

On our models, the rear inner top strut mount bolt is very difficult to reach on the driver side due to a fuel line in the way and extremely difficult to reach on passenger side due to the exhaust pipes. Barely enough room to get the wrench back there to loosen which took roughly 5 minutes per side as I only had standard wrenches for this part. Will also need to remove spare tire to break the rear LCA bolts loose.

Highly recommend DC'ing the battery to avoid messing with the EPAS like I said before.

Overall I am extremely happy with how it turned out and can't wait to get some new rubber under her later this year!

I like the idea of sitting up higher than I do now. I just know that I don't want to mess with it myself. At this point, I'd rather pay somebody that knows what they are doing, if you know what I mean.

I totally understand. My dad started working on cars when he was 15 so he's got 40 years experience with everything. I tapped into that knowledge to get it done with his assistance
