Navigation SCAN Disc

I have a Scan Disc reader in the center console of my 2014 Expy EL KR which I believe is my map database; my maps are dated and the Ford site indicates that my truck requires a 4-set DVD package costing $150. Do I need the DVD set or an updated SD? If SD, how do I determine the correct one?

The maps for my 2012 Ford Expedition Limited needed upgrading. For the cost of just one up grade I purchased a new Garmin with free upgrades for life. Now I have a 2017 Ford Expedition Limited and it has the built in Navigation but I use my Garmin instead.
