I'm getting ready to order some parts to lift my Navigator but just wanted to get everyone's thoughts to make sure I'm going in the right direction here. I already did the Monroe conversion which I think was the 90006 kit a couple of years ago. So no air suspension left on my Nav.

Plan:
Torsion bar crank in front
2" Daystar spacer in rear
Mickey Thompson MTZ 315/70R17 Tires mounted on stock 7.5" rims

I've seen there is also a 3" Daystar rear spacer available. I went and measured my current ride height and the rear is lower by 1.5" at the stock height. So I'm starting to think I should go with a 3" rear spacer to help get me back to level when I do the torsion crank. Anyone else use a 3" spacer or should I stick with the 2"? I'm hoping to fit the 35's without major trimming of the front bumper.

Contingency plans:
2" Body lift on top of torsion crank/spacer lift to accommodate 35's
Replace front torsion bars with non air ride bars from an Expy (If only more front lift is needed)
33" tires instead of 35's

Only thing I would be worried about is the tires rubbing on the frame. I know my 33's come pretty close in the front. Best thing to do is measure your clearance at full lock as well as at the closest point to the bumper with the current tires. Measure your current tires, and figure accordingly. Kind of depends on the year vehicle too. Everything else sounds fine to me.

I got my 2" coil spacers ordered and I'm going to order my tires tomorrow. I changed my mind on my tire selection. Going with Toyo MT's 285/75R17 which is a 34" tire. I hope to retain just a little bit of fuel economy with the narrower and slightly shorter tire. All the reviews I read rave about the Toyos even though the MTX's were a close second.

I got my Navigator lifted back in July but never got around to posting pictures. Well here they are: 2 in rear coil spacer, torsion bar crank, 285/75R17 Toyo MT's

The rear is just a hair low but less than inch. Doesn't help that have a couple hundred extra pounds in the rear with golf clubs, bags set, baseball equipment and the 3rd row seat. If I take all that out it sits just about level.

Ooh, pretty! Is the rear still sitting lower or is that just the driveway angle?

Haha makes sense! Yah I left the 3rd row and audio equipment in when I measured, I still like a lifted navigator!

I really like your navigator and want to do the same for mine. I've already did the same Monroe conversion too but I can't seem find the rear coil spacers. Where did you get yours from? Did you use ones from an expedition? Do you have a part number? Any help would be great

Thank you

Yea I did use spacers from an expedition. They are the 2" daystar spacer for the rear. I can't recall the part number but I do know they were the expedition version. One thing I had to do was mount the spacer on the top of the coil. The rear axle on the Navigator did not have a large enough perch for the spacer to be mounted on bottom, but putting the spacer on the top locks it right in place. I've had mine on for 6 months now with zero problems. For the front lift, I just tighted up the stock torsion bars. Got right to the height I wanted, with very minimal trimming on the inner fender well.
