First off thanks for any responses ahead of time.

I'm looking at a 2006 expedition king ranch for around $14000.... Wife has concerns because it has 118000 miles. I think this is acceptable but she feels it's too high...just a couple questions.

Is she right ( I hope not might not live that down)
Does anyone here have one
Any known issues I need to look for

Again thanks yall

118000 isnt too many miles! Just getting broke in! If maintained the modular engines are 300000+ engines!

Known problems are broken spark plugs (should have been changed 18000 miles ago and wont need changed till 200000) Make sure they were replaced before you buy it! Saves you a big head ache!

Broken exhaust manifold studs

Cam phasers (with cam phasers it is normal to have some slight noise. But a cold start will tell you alot on these!)

Thats what i know of! others will chime in!

I bought my 05 in december of 2010 and it had 116k on it and now it has 139k and no major problems. Mine had the phasers already done but not the plugs and 4 broke changing them. The only other thing I had to do was change the rear end fluid because it was starting to bind(also supposed to be changed at 100k as well) and that's it. Anything else I have done has been normal maintenance. GET THE PLUGS CHANGED. Also, be warned that the front windows are probably going to be slow going up and down. I paid $11,700 for mine and its an EB loaded. The only thing mine doesn't have is factory nav. and pop out rear windows.
