Need help diagnosing DRL issues

Hey guys!

I have a Canadian 1999 Expedition with the DRL setup.

Autolamps work fine, but the lower 8V low beam DRLs won't come on.
I checked the resistor and it was shot, so I tracked down the part and replaced it with a new one. Still no luck.

Were there any other weak points in the DRL system on these?
All the fuses are good, any ideas where to check next?

Would appreciate any help!

Hey thanks for the website! just got the truck so this is definitely going to come in helpful.

Well I guess the last thing on the list is what I was dreading: some wire must be corroded. dammit.

You can also look at the schematics for that system. It will also show splice, connector and harness routings.
