I know i neglect this place but two jobs keeps me busy..... but my problem is expy wont start... wont even turn over just a "click" under the dash next to the flasher.... if I jump the starter relay on the firewall the engine turns over fine....

had a battery problem with battery not holding a charge past 11.5-11.6 volts even after charging it for a night so I got battery exchanged and new one in as well as changed battery terminals while I was at it....

looking for my spare key I think its at my parents house but otherwise I am out of ideas and really low on free time to fix this thing... pretty soon its gonna be fixed then sold or traded in....:angry94:

Worth a shot, but pull up on the shifter lever thing while trying to start it. Sometimes that sensor does not detect the truck is in park and consequently will not let the truck turn over.

bought the solenoid tonight.... but can't do anything till tomorrow.... at work right now.... but I'm assuming that its either that solenoid since jumping that allows the truck to start... or might be a problem in the wiring between the key and that part.... I even talked to "DGray69" if I'm allowed to say his name...lol... he agreed with me...

well replaced the part and nothing.... so time to look around... fond out the "idiot" that owned it before me had a remote start installed and then removed before I bought it... never knew it was there... so long story short one of the wires came apart and thus no start... spliced the wire together and bam starts right back up....lol

Good find

I can only imagine how much hair you lost digging throgh that wiring to find the fault.

good to see you got it figured out
