I have a 2018 Ford Expedition. Everything was working perfectly, but after installing a new battery I’m having issues:
  • Electronic parking brake shows a warning and won’t engage (no sound at all)
  • Rear power seats are not working
It all happened right after the battery change. I’ve tried resetting it by disconnecting the battery, but no luck.

Just wondering if anyone has run into this before—could it be a fuse or something with power distribution?

Any help would be really appreciated!

Check the fuses.
In the distribution box under the hood,
Rear power seats / power folding seat module: Fuse #31 (50A).
- Electronic parking brake (part of the Anti-lock Brake System / Parking Brake Module): Fuse #70 (40A)

Did you reset the battery monitor for the new battery with the replacement?... It lets the computer track the battery's life...

Interesting...I don't have an answer for you but when Walmart installed a battery in my '18 Max Plat, I noticed 2 things. Before the install, I never had to manually deactivate the auto on-off engine start on the dash...it was already disabled. Not anymore. Secondly, Lane Departure was totally disabled. Now, I have the green lines on the dash and the best I can do thru the settings is to disable the steering correction and place the alert on "low" , which still results in the steering wheel vibration. I would like those 2 issues back to their status pre battery install. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
