Need new AC controls

My 98 EB Exp has a problem with the temp knob on the ac controls. The rod that the knob fits on has rounded off and now it won't turn with the knob. I have to use pliers to adjust temp. I was wondering if I could replace it with the newer push button one?

Doubt it..... Im sure the wiring harnesses are completley diff....... best bet is go to a bone yard and just pick up one like you have shouldnt be too pricey
