Have a 98 Eddie with the Mach Audio system.... Forgive me... I'm good with mechanical, not as good with audio...The problem is that my sub or whatever low end speaker I have in the back has started really popping with the low end bass. Not a really nice sound. I went back there and just unplugged it from the amp for the time being... Is it possible to just plug another same sized sub speaker or sub in to it's place.. Like just remove the old one, and splice in a new one? What are the watts needed on the new speaker if I can just replace it... sounds pretty tinny right now without, but better than with the crack pop of the one in there right now... Thanks for your responses, and try to dumb them down a bit for me..lol..

Did some searching.... looks like a shallow mount 5 inch depth, 8 inch sub should do the trick... or prob just best to check the wreckers....

u can check wreckers...they do make a stealth box for your year with an aftermarket sub in it...or you can just buy any 8" sub that matches the depth and put it in...many have done it
