Got my new cold air intake yesterday and installed it. I noticed it has alot better throttle response with it on, and it makes a cool whoosh noise when you hit the gas

I replaced my maf sensor when i installed my intake, and pulled the battery cable, so it will be a week or so before i get a reliable mpg rating. before those two things i was getting 11.5mpg

how do you like this setup so far? im thinking about switching to this set up, I have a spectre intake now but, Im starting to think a sealed filter would be better for power.

I like it I'm not sure you will get any more power if you go to a sealed filter. you might, who knows. I liked that it matched the rest of the engine bay, and i figured it would probably need to be cleaned less than a open style filter

my intake uses a 4 inch pipe...Im starting to think thats too big for these engines seeing as all other companies only use a 3 inch pipe, i noticed the other day my dads expy seems to accelrate slightly better and his intake is from airaid and its a 3 inch pipe, I think im going to end up upgradeing to volant. hows your mileage?

probally never, it will eventually match, give it a few months. right now im having fun issue with my coils getting moisture in them and shorting out (messy coolant flush), so im going to worry about that first, im going to take em out, blow them out with compressed air, then coat the boots in die electric grease and seal along the top with liquid electrical tape

Cardone (i think) i bought it from advance, I get a 20% discount cause my dad works there, i think it was like $109 w/discount. they sell a re manufactured one and a new one, i figured no point in going remand

Im going to change my Intake air temp sensor next (i think thats what its called) and that sensor thing attached to the egr valve, that way I know that I have all new sensors, and i think that the egr thingy aint working right anyways

speaking of egr valves can that be blocked off and tuned out of the system?

over +2 mpg thats pretty awsome, was the maf sensor you got a factory replacement or a perfomance part? not sure about your egr, im pretty sure my dad plugged mine up on my old car (2.0 16v ford zetec), to kind of bypass it and it made my idle low and not steady, had something to do with vacum lines

maf is just a factory replacement from auto zone, I have a buddy I talked with he said i will need to play with the fuel injection mapping (i think that's what he said) if I want ti kill the egr system, because it takes into account having egr gasses in there and wont run 100% correctly with out playing with it. or he said i could go the cheap route and regulate a vacuum leak, so for now ill leave it alone, I found a tuner i need to talk to and see if they can kill it, well that, rear o2 sensors, play with tranny a little, and tune for headers/dual exhaust,

i may get my dual exhaust done this week, depends if the motorcycle shop gets their jackets in or not, cause i want to buy me a nice yellow one that matches my bike, also some pants, crashing bikes doesn't feel very good, and the leather helps quite a bit
