did you all hear? ford ditched the 4.6 and the 5.4. they have 4 engine options for the new 2011 f150s. 3.7, twin turbo 3.7, 5.0 and 6.2. just to let you all know. dont know if they will go into the expo but i do know the that the v6 and ttv6 are the only options for the new explorer. all the info is on the ford f150 site. kool videos too. but hey they have to upgrade. should have brought back the 5.8 in my opinion. but all engine are DOHC but the 6.2 is OHC. just to let everyone know.

I have heard that the engine line-up for the F150s is due to change, but have heard nothing new about whats in store for the Expi. I would guess that the powerplants for the Expi won't change for a year or two after the F150s get established. Ford is working hard to make their truck line more fuel efficient without sacrificing power. If they'd figure out a way to drop a 500-1000 pounds off the Expi, an Eco Boost twin turbo V-6 that was capable of getting 25 mpg on the highway would be nice.

the tt v6 would be good in the expo. i wonder wht kind of mileage you would be able to get from the modern tanks with that v6. but i still think a 6.2 would be a nice engine in an expo.

I agree. The tt V6 would be awesome in the explorer. The 6.2 would also be a big addition to the Expy with it pushing over 400 horse. From everything I have read, the 6.2 was made to replace the V10, so it should have crazy low end torque :) If only they would turbo the V8s . . .

They are running that 6.2 in the new SVT Raptor I heard somewhere 411HP 435TQ and they say in the Raptor with head work, cam and tune 500HP :D We can only hope that they will put that in the Expy.

Told my wife yesterday (not that she cares) that we're keeping our 2001 until after the ttv6 comes out in the Expedition, then we'll move up to one of those.
