Hi all, and thanks for a great site! This is our second Expy; the first being a Funkmaster Flex edition- it got too much attention for my wife's taste! Our current one is a copper metallic 08 Limited. I'm trying to figure out how to remove the roof rails, and can only find reference to 06 models and earlier. I'd love to put on the rails that came with the Funkmaster, but can't find an outlet for purchase! Just added a billet grille insert from APS and like the mod very much. Thanks and talk to you soon!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I've got some pics put together in my gallery, but I'll see if I can add some here, too! I bit the bullet and removed the roof rails (very easy after all) and then tried plasti-dipping them to see if that would make them less conspicuous. These pics are without the rails, and then with the "dipped" version reinstalled. Comments and suggestions are welcome!

Nice ride, love that grille and if you're not going to need to use them I'd definitely leave the rails off, I like the slick top look much better. Welcome to the site btw from up here in Northwest Ohio!

Thanks, Mike! I just finished taking the rails back off, and I don't intend to ever put anything besides a coat of wax on the roof again! That grille was easier to install than I had hoped. I see your avatar has a replacement (locking) fuel door; is that any particular brand? I've seen the ones online from All Sales, which I understand is also the AMI brand. It looks sharp!

Thanks, it's an RBP (Rolling Big Power) I got it on eBay, I think I paid about $43 w/shipping. The seller was 47-zone, I bought it March 3rd and it was in my mailbox on the 6th, I was really pleased with it. Install was pretty easy the only problem was the aluminum bracket that it bolts to didn't line up right so I just slotted it by hand with my drill and that solved the problem. Here's a better shot of it.

Welcome to the forums. I've already commented on your roof rail post and now I see this post. You should've kept the FMF. But I'm biased. lol. Even the low profile roof rails on the fmf were too much for me. I like the color of your new one.

Thanks, everybody, and thank you for the compliments on the color! It took us quite awhile to find one in copper metallic, and it was an hour and a half drive to go get it;
it seemed like the only ones available around our area were in white!
