new guy/newb questions

Hey all, intro thread here! I picked up my 99 EB exp after my blazer was totaled a few weeks ago. since i bought it ive changed plugs and oil, fixed the broken switch panel and now im ready to start modding a bit. Ill also be doing the gotts mod tonight and Ive been looking for exhaust and cant seem to find much for long tubes other than F150 stuff. Is that interchangeable? What brands should I avoid? I plan on doing longtubes, !cats and most likely a bullet or something simple out the back and then a custom tune.. suggestions/advice?

yeah thats all enterchangeable between 150 and expedition for the most part. engine parts are. from the firewall forward is all shared with the f150 and the same dash. other wise its not.

Im torn between the obx headers/y setup or pacesetters and having a y built with a flowmaster merge.at this point.

if you are doing headers and stuff you might as well do a dual exhaust with an xpipe just my .02

i would say true duals even with out an x pipe as long as your passenger side pipe exits the driver side and visa versa. so that way the pipes are equal in length. but an x pipe will help too.

A properly designed y pipe will flow almost identical to true duals.. then youre spending less money due to half the materials (albeit a bit more for larger single piping)
