From USA but living in Canada. First car ever a 1955 ford that I owned from 66 to 99---never anything wrong with it I could not fix myself.

CET for over 30 years.

Just aquired a 99 expedition with very very few problems--most minor--the odemeter issue which I know how to fix, someone ripped rear defroster wires off(some solder will fix that) middle belt in second row bad, and the CD cartridge will not eject and last---no remote and only one chip key---working on that one first.

The Plus items: owner 30,000 Km ago had air suspension removed and I had it looked at--all is ok there. At same time $1,000+ of new rubber--even wear and alignment is good.

A month ago owner spent $1500 : new windshield, control arm. rear wiper arm and motor and other things---seen the receipts--dealer.

So, in last 10 months he had invested $3500 in the vehicle---asking price started at $4900 and no takers-----I was looking for one and when it got down to $3500 emailed him. Site is Kijijji like Craigslist in the USA>

Being the first to actually contact him(he had no phone number and never reposted the ad) he offered me the vehicle for $3250 with a $1000 set of snow tires "thrown in" .

Not my first winter here and I did not want the second set of unmounted rubber. We bargained and I offered him $2500 knowing he would not take that---then was the moment of truth--"how about $2700 ? Understand even beat up ones here that are 4x4 are going for over 4K.

Cash and drove it home (stopped and the way south and in a wrecking yard picked up a right rear lens for $20 to replace the cracked one on the vehicle))

It runs like a dream, quiet and the 5.4 took a bit of getting used to--was driving a 4.0 explorer ---quite a bit different.

A few nicks and scratches but very little rust anywhere----unusual here in the Calgary area.

I can fix myself the minor issues---by US standards about 180,000 on it and the last owner never cleaned the leather(tan looks rather dark?) but since am retired I am and can clean all that.

My point here is I have fixed myself every vehicle I have owned in the last 45 years

new remotes and blank chip keys are on the way---I may have to let the Ford dealership stick it to me on that or not--with PAT keys cannot imagine anyone having only one PAT key and no fob.

From what my research shows the EB with Air Suspension has a 30 gallon tank instead of the 26.

One of the running board lights is out (socket is fubar--no contacts left) but the next visit to the junk yard will take care of that.

Signed on here in case of issues that may come up.

California bred and Canadian resident.

How do I ad a photo of this vehicle?

Welcome aboard! To add pictures look under quick links or click on your handle (site name) and there are a couple choices easiest being to upload from your hard drive. It takes some fiddling sometimes.
