hello to all. i'm a new member living on the East Coast. just bought me an '99 Expe (friday) & like w/ other cars i've had, i am joining a forum w/ hopes to get a lot of insight, suggestion & upgrade ideas for my new toy. i want to say thank you advance & i look forward to hearing from members in the new future. here's my new ride.

thank you both on the welcome, & thank you 71 on Expy compliment. i have to say i really lucked out w/ my truck. i was on my lunch & decided to take a different route to the post office when i seen it @ this used dealership about 2 weeks ago. well on the way back i stopped in & asked them a few question & took it for a spin. well she drove real nice, engine was strong & shifted really smooth. well about a week later & after a little convincing, i got my wife's approval. Actually took me 'bout another week before i ended up selling my Saab wagon & then going back to the dealership & doing all the paperwork & finally driving her off the lot. the truck looks brand new.

yes yes welcome to the site, some key points.. you sometimes need to over look FREEWAY, cause well he is FREEWAY, and likes shiney objects lol

i haven't really gotten underneath it, but i plan on it once it stops raining. however from a quick glance i didn't see any. as far as upgrades, i would like to get the black halo headlights & black LED tail lights as well as going HID. i also plan on upgrading the sound system. plus i'm not sure whether to go chrome or black rims. but i'm not in a rush for that right now. what upgrades/mods would you suggest?

Depends on what you are going for- the street truck look, or 4x4 tough truck

i would probably have to say, the "street" look. i know 1 thing i would like to look into, is how to get better gas mileage.
