My wife and I needed a new tow vehicle for our 2007 Rockwood 2603S travel trailer and while I wanted an F150, she wanted an SUV. I was NOT going to buy a Suburban or Tahoe, so an Expedition seemed to fit the bill. We found a 2004 Expedition Eddie Bauer with the HD tow package. That may be a bit of overkill as our TT has a GVWR of 6510#. We usually run it at about 5500# so we have a bit of breathing room.
We have had the vehicle for a few days now and so far it seems comfortable and very driveable. As it is a used vehicle it is not surprising that a few items are missing. I need to order the lock/alarm remotes and I am trying to decide if I want to part with the money to replace the navigation CDs. It appears they are only available as a set and all I need is coverage for California.
