Just signed up to the Forum as I got my wife a 2010 Limited in dark silver yesterday. 31,899 miles on the odometer. Clean and sweet. The drivers door window wasn't working well so CarMax has ordered replacement motor and cables which they will install. In the mean time I was showing it off to the neighbors last night and put the window down and now it won't go up at all. It makes a brief attempt at going up about a 1/4 inch and then retracts. Any ideas how to get it closed? It may be a few days before I can get it in for the repair.

Anyway looking forward to being a member of the group.

Congrats. I'm envious of all of you guys that are able to find such low mileage vehicles. We found a handful but the dealers wanted, on average, a $6-10K premium for low-mileage trucks. As for that window, that's a common Ford problem. Back in 2006 I had the one on my Mountaineer replaced before I even took delivery of the vehicle. The only way to get it back up with a non-working motor is to try and pull it up by hand or remove the door panel and pull it up that way.

It happened on my 2005. I could not figure out for the life of me how to get that window up. I ended up just taping it up until the new motor came in.
