Hey all. I just purchased a 1998 Expedition EB Edition 4x4 with the 5.4. I've never had a ride that I wanted to upgrade/mod as much as this. I love this thing and think it can be a real bad ass with some work. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for first steps.

Gotts Mod. Easy and quick, cheap, and will give you more "Umph", even if its just a sound.

Depends on what you want to do with it. I have been painting mine slowly to see if I like its style. I did new plugs and put in Accel coils. Gave me a little more power, but I really noticed it on the gas mileage, it put 2-3 mpg, which is a lot for something like this.

Gots mod on a '98 is a little different than '99 and newer. I used a 2" ID hose when I did mine. Since then, I bought a newer model housing from the wrecking yard for $5 and did it the right way.
I also hacked off the stupid 2 1/4" tailpipe and replaced the stock giant muffler with a Flowmaster 40 and a 3" tailpipe.
My sig has most of my mods.

I will definatly give the Gotts mod a go. I've been looking at the suspension replacement as well. The stock is a bit bouncy for me. I was also possibly looking at a new sway bar to help tighten up the handling a bit.
