Got my new wheels in today and took my factory wheel off in front and the new wheel doesn't fit. Called placed I ordered it from and they said that some of the expeditions had trouble with the front wheels not fitting. Problem was that my wheel was hitting the brake caliber and wheel shop said they would have to ship me a spacer for it to work. Has anybody else had this problem or have they shipped me the wrong wheel for my expedition? They said that the back wouldn't need a spacer but was worried that my front will stick out past the back wheel and not look right. Does anybody else have a spacer on the front and not the back?

most ppl use spacers...but you need a higher offset to clear the calipers...if the tires havent been mounted on the rims i'd request they give you paid shipping and send rims with higher offset...i would stick around +20 and higher for offset...shouldnt have any probs with fitment for 6x135 if you go higher offset...i had +10 with 24's and they fit fine so design of rim will also be a factor...post pics of the rims

not sure didnt measure them while i had it on there. id say no more than a 1". Guy is suppose to be mailing my spacers today. Only thing is i ordered them from ebay and they came from CA and i leave in NC so i dout they gonna want to buy for me to ship them back for a different offset.

Those are adapters...spacers in this sense is used lightly...at least that's what I would call them

But still...correct offset wouldn't need to clear calipers an inch...the 1/4" spacers should do the trick unless u plan on getting caliper covers

I'm glad I found this thread. Was gonna pickup some 20" to replace my stock 07' Lmtd. wheels. Found a set from a local CL ad. Though they're +10mm offset. I'm a bit confused as tirerack.com has as low as 00 offset. So what's the recommended for the 3rd gen? (its mainly a family hauler).

10mm will fit pending style of rims...test fit them on the truck first...i had a set of 24's that were +10mm...i just need higher offset due to having caliper covers...

Ty 6k-Watts. The seller has offered me to test fit them. I took a good look at my 07' this morning notice the wheels stick out a bit. From my research, I believe the stock Limited "chrome" wheels are +44mm in offset. I'm always careful with offsets. My previous car had a very high factory offset (+60mm) and i was limited on lower offsets as it was dropped. I don't have plans to change the suspension on my Expy but I won't mind changing the wheels (keeping 20'ies all around). I did get more specs from the guy:

20x8.5 +10mm offset, Eagle Alloy aluminum wheels. Apparantly he bought them for a Toy truck and they didn't match the bolt pattern. He's confirmed its 6x135mm. I may go for them if I can get them for a bit less since I already have new tires.
