Newbie/ Modification Help

Hi All:

as the subject indicates, I am a newbie to the ford world and I am looking to make some modification.
I mean, have some body shop make the mods, But I need to get myself educated on if it can be done and what it takes, so that I can decide if I can handle it or help narrow down a shop, that won't take me for a ride (no pun intended)

#1) I need to replace the rear LH quarter glass with a blank metal panel to add feed throught connectors, shore power, etc. Something like this

I have a fixed glass window.

#2) I am looking to add a second battery to power my inverter. Adding it inside is straight forward. How about mounting it underbody ? Has anyone ventured into doing such a thing ?

Welcome to the Forum. I'm sure it is fairly easily for a body shop to replace a window with a steel panel. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer to your other questions. it is not something that I have attempted.
