I have a '17 Limited with the HD towing option. I purchased an aluminum single axle trailer the other day to be able to tow my '17 Polaris RZR XP 4 1000 side by side. The trailer weights 700lbs. It's a 7x14 flatbed trailer. The RZR dry weight (from the Polaris website) says 1,565lbs. Am I correct that the GTWR without any gas in rzr or equipment, etc.. is (700+1565) 2,265lb?

Do I need a WD hitch to tow this thing? Given my trailer is aluminum and fairly light at 700lbs it also does not have trailer brakes.

One other question. The 4 pin connector on the Expedition seems really flimsy compared to the 7 pin on the other side. I assume that is normal?

Thanks!

No WDH is required until around 6,000 lbs. The towing guide is available on online as a PDF.

Yes it's normal but it just hooks into flimsy wiring.
