Newer Ford radio in my 06 Expedition?

Hey everyone,

I'm new here and have learned so much from looking at this site.

Have a question: I have a 2006 Expy Eddie package with the audiophile sound system. I am looking at getting a system with an aux cord. My friend just took out a Shaker 500 6 disc from his mustang which is the newer style head unit found in the 07-14 expys. It has the aux input and comes with the pie audio module for aux input. Would it be possible to install this head unit in my expy without issue? Would the cables harnesses be compatible?

i doubt the harness will fit and there prob needs some extra stuff done to have all the capabilities
