Hello everyone. I'm coming to y'all for some answers on my wife's 2005 expedition. She calls me and tells me "It won't go". LOL Okay, so I go get it with a trailer.

She said she didn't see a check engine light, nor did I when I loaded it. Once I had the chance to take it for a drive it would shift 1st to 2nd, then when it would try to shift into third, it would just rev out like you put it in neutral.

Honestly it acted like it was out of fluid. Which it is not, nor does the fluid look burnt. But it was like driving an old C6 auto that was low on fluid. You could rev it, and it would try to catch.

Now, I haven't had time to you hook the scanner to it, or trouble shoot it. I'm on my night shift schedule which doesn't afford time to work on trucks during the work week.

Anyway, if you guys have some ideas, I'd love to hear them. Crazy or not. I did a short search and didn't really find anything. But it was short so I was unable to keep digging right now. Thanks for your time everyone, and I look forward to talking to everyone.

Unfortunately without having the tools to activate the solenoid and check it, we just had to cut our losses and order another transmission. I was hoping we could diagnose it down to something like that. Time just wasn't on our side this go round. I was hoping I'd have a solid answer to provide on this one. I like to contribute on the forums. So forgive me this time. Hopefully next time I can hit a home run.
