Well, I don't have any experience with either of these, but if it was me, I would go for that 2nd one, unless you (or your state laws) absolutely insist on having the plate in the center, of course.....with the added benefit of not blocking airflow to the intercooler (if your vehicle is so equipped), as noted in the description.

That 1st one just looks too much like a wall mount for a flat screen TV IMHO :)

My Expy already had the holes in the bumper when I bought it, from the previous owner's plate install, even though PA does not have a 2-plate requirement, but it is allowed if the owner so desires...

The first one was popular with the Durango crowd, though I never purchased one. The advantage to it is that the plate is removable which might be important if you take your vehicle to car shows. OTOH, it may also be way too easy to steal your plate from the first one.

I had the front license plate bracket and it fell off. They had it riveted and it just pulled through. I bought that 2 way tape they use to mount the emblems and used that to put the bracket back on.
