No Heat at Idle sometimes

did you ever resolve this? i'm working on the same problem today.

so i only had heat when i was running 1500 rpms. at idle i had nothing. turns out that there was a small leak. so i fixed that.

i ran the car while watching the fill bottle and there came a moment when the engine sucked the antifreeze out of the bottle. i shut her off and filled the bottle right then. [remote start helps a lot with this] it took a whole gallon. then i'm running it and the front heat is working but maybe the rear has a bubble...so i've got this installed.

i've put two of those on the in and out flow of the heater core. for backflushing.

but that one there is the definite high point of the system and i can vent or slow fill there. that little hose kit is under 5$ at any auto parts store.
