I have a 2003 Expedition Eddie Bauer and it has developed a noise from the rear end. It makes a thump when I reverse and then hit the brakes. The noise happens on the application of the brakes only in reverse. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

Putting on the brakes in reverse applies the same forces to the suspension as accelerating in forward, with the exception of the brake pads, calipers, rotors and caliper brackets. If you don't hear any noise under a hard launch, then the rear brakes should get another look. Don't assume that just because they are relatively new that they are ok.
