...and ditched my '94 Mazda protege for a 2005 Eddie Bauer Expedition, with only 10K miles on it (what a step up - I LOVE IT!), I'm wondering about a few things...

Since I bought mine from an auction through an auto broker, it didn't come with some of the documentation you'd get with a new one.

For instance, where can I get my hands on a scheduled maintenance guide?

Is there somewhere that I can find seat covers that will protect the leather seats from trips to the beach, etc., but still go on and off easily enough so that the real seats are the primary ones?

My truck comes with the audio system set up for satellite radio. Is going through the dealer the best/only way to purchase and have this module installed?

I could probably come up with more, but as a newbie here I don't want to wear out my welcome on the first day!

Weclome to the forum & congrats on your new truck!

I can only help you with one of your questions for certain...

A manual a scheduled service guide can be downloaded at ford.com.

Seat covers would be easy for your particular use. Even stuff from Walmart may suffice.

If you are good with wiring and can follow directions (no offense intended), then putting in a Sat. rec'vr should be a snap. You can get Sat radio rec'vr at places OTHER than the dealer like Best buy, Circuit City, etc.

I unfortunantly don't have Sat. radio here so I do not k ow the particulars.

I can't wait though becuase my 04 F150 is already pre-wired for it! I bought with 900 miles on it from a guy on the Mainland!

Thanks monsta.

I will check with Ford.com for the service guide.

It's still a good month or two until beach season - although I may dive before then, but the seat cover advice makes sense.

I was an electronic tech in a previous life, so I may have to try that self install - I appreciate the info and the welcome!
