Looking for the nut that holds the rear wiper arm on my 98 Expy. When I bought it, the arm was laying in the back with the gear portion stripped to hell and no nut. I bought a new arm and blade, but I am having trouble finding a new nut. Guessing it's a metric nut.

I just had a new windshield installed this morning and they thought they might have the right nut, but they didn't. Why people don't fix these things when they break is beyond me.

The motor works just fine and the gear on the motor shaft looks OK as well.

Anyone have any ideas, I have searched on Yahoo and I might not be using the right terminology to track it down.

Thanks!!!

No problem man.

If you had a junk yard near by you could get one for little to nothing other then some time. I always like hunting the yards for all kinds of stuff. Kind of like an Easter egg hunt.

I would do that, but everything up here is still buried under 4 feet of snow animated-smileys-weather-065.gif

The nut I showed worked just fine. Had to use a thread chaser to clean up the threads first. It's nice to have the wiper working, seems like the rear window is ALWAYS dirty as heck!!! Now on to the exhaust system!!

This forum has been a huge help!!!
