Just picked up the Expy
2000 model Eddie with the 5.4L (90K miles)

When taking off under normal or moderate power I get feedback through the gas pedal and a slight noise as well. It almost feels like something is rubbing or grinding, but it's a real smooth noise, it doesn't sound very grainy. Normally it wouldn't bother me but when I get feed back through the pedal it worries me.

The noise and feed back don't last long, it kind of goes in and out when you take off, if you floor it there is so much going on that you can't tell so I don't know if it gets worse or not. I've worked on tons of cars but never a AWD/4x4 truck, so I have no idea what it could be.

Any ideas or places to check would be helpful

Thanks again

does it do this when accelerating in a straight line or is it more when your turning and accelerating. Reason im asking, because mine is making some wierd noise/feeling kinda in the pedal and seats when accelerating like if I were turning at a redlight or out of a parking space. almost like a rubbing or grinding noise, but like you said its not very grainy.. i have no idea what it would be.. and another noise I absolutely HATE that it does, EVERY time i come up to a stop light it has this wierd vibrating noise that kinda shakes the whole truck. It only does it when in gear, at idle, foot on the brake pedal.. if i put it in neutral it stops, put it in gear and its there again. give it a little gas to raise the idle and it goes away. its like a Vrooooom, Vvvvvroooom, Vvvvvvvvrooooom, Vvvvvvvvvrooooom, Vrooom, Vvvvvvvvvvvroooom... thats the easiest way to describe it. i think. haha..

Check your engine mounts and exhaust pipes. If an exhaust pipe touches the floorboard you get immediate vibrations. If the engine mounts or tranny mount are worn out it'll let everything twist under a load and possibly hit the floor board.

I have a weird feeling it's this

I'm going to check it this weekend, but I have a feeling (and I'm hoping) it's this
