Just thought I would post this it a HUGE help if you have this common problem.

By odometer blackout do you mean your guage lights dont come on and pop a fuse each time (only on the guages) when you turn your lights on? If so, This is EXACTLY what ive been looking for.

No this is a common problem with expys where the odometer(only) goes out randomly and comes back on or can go out and stay out for days before coming back on. As far as I know this will only repair this problem. Your problem sounds like you have something shorting out or a bad ground.

The lights on my cluster crapped out a few months ago? Havent had time to fool with it yet, thought it mite be a fuse?

What is the fix?

Never saw what the fix was.

Remove the instrument panel, open up circuit board, re solder 9 pin connector strip by heating each one slightly and applying a small amount of additional solder. I did a how to on it.
