I'm looking into getting some off-road lights. What brand are you running and how do you like them?

Thanks for the help..:)

I don't have any experience, but I've been doing some shopping...

For ultra low budget, check out Summit Racing's brand offroad lights or the ProComp lights they carry. I think they were around $20-30 bucks each.

Hella is a reputable brand and their 6" 500s can be had for around $80-100/pr.

KC Daylighters are really popular and have incredible warrantees. I think they are around $150-200/pr to start, though.

The LED lights linked above are around $400+ each, btw...

I would avoid anything that is not namebrand, but that is just me...

Hope that helps some.

like i said, i have the autozone lights and they were 40 bucks a pair. and they work just fine. have had them in every element possible, including hurricane and tornado seasons in florida and iowa. they do the trick. i wouldnt spend tons of money on lights unless you need it to be high noon at midnight. my lights light up plenty. when i get home from leave, i will take some night pics with them on and show you what they look like.

FWIW, they've had Hella 500s at Walmart for 62 bucks a pair for a while now. They have the 550s (the clear, free form ones) for 69. I think they ones they sell are the driving light ones, which have a longer and narrower beam.

I've been wanting to get me some to improve on my high beams. Granted, I'm not sure how I'm going to attach them to the Expy since I don't think they will fit in my lower grille opening.

Thanks for all your help. I guess I need to get off my a$$ and go look at lights and figure out what I'm really looking for. If any one knows of anyone that has one Hella black majic light there looking to get rid of let me know. Ihave 2 now and I'm looking for 1 more. If I can't find 1 then I'm going to have to buy 3 new lights. Thanks for your help..

I love my Hellas I got 700FF and they are awesome and holding up well in NNY. I really like that they are plastic housings and glass lenses so they wont rust.. just my .02....

You'll have to order the one for the F150, I'm going to design and build my own light bar..

I just checked those out yesterday. They are good quality lights.

I will probably go with KC still. I want something brighter than a 55w light. Autozone has the 100w KC lights with replaceable bulbs if you want more light. I think they were $99.

Just an FYI:

I decided on the Stainless 130w KC's. I instaled them this past Sunday on my new grille guard. The wiring harness in the kit made it a VERY easy install. It came with an illuminated rocker switch, the correct Relay and plugs to plug it right up, enough wire to run everything how I wanted, etc.

The 130w light is very bright and works great.
